Scale with EOS

I love EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). It often feels like the less popular younger brother of OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), but I actually think it’s amazing.

We used it at Morning Brew to scale to $70M+ in revenue, and I now use it at all of my companies.

Why EOS Works

Especially for more visionary-type entrepreneurs (creative, divergent thinkers), having a proven model you can just follow versus reinventing the wheel to operate your business is incredible.

Basically, it starts with the 10,000-foot stuff:

  • Core values
  • Purpose
  • Niche
  • 10-year strategy

Drilling Down

Then, you start drilling down to what’s in front of you:

  • 3-year plan
  • 1-year goals
  • 90-day rocks
  • Scorecard
  • Current issues

Meeting Cadence

All of it gets wrapped together with a meeting cadence (leadership L10, department L10, quarterly offsite, annual offsite) that allows you to proactively manage your business and fix issues before they bubble up.

Conclusion

I’m not paid by them, but EOS has made me a far better entrepreneur, and I recommend it any chance I get. It’s a simple yet powerful framework that helps you align your vision with actionable steps, ensuring everyone is on the same page and moving towards the same goals. It provides structure for both long-term planning and short-term execution.

If you’re a visionary entrepreneur looking for a system to bring your ideas to life, I encourage you to explore EOS. Take your business to the next level, learn more about EOS today!
